Prime Minister and UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has informed that the presidential candidate of the UNP will be decided during next week, General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said last night.

අපේක්ෂකත්වය ලැබුණහොත් විධායක ජනාධිපතිධූරය අහෝසි කරන ක‍්‍රමවේදය පිළිබඳව කථානායක කරු ජයසූරිය මහතා පැහැදිලි කිරීමක් සිදු කළ යුතු බව ශී‍්‍ර ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණ පවසනවා.

ජනාධිපතිවරණයට ඉදිරිපත් වන ලෙස ලැබී ඇති කවර ඉල්ලිමක් වුවද තමන්ට සලකා බැලිය හැක්කේ 1995 වසරේ සිට අඛණ්ඩව පෙනී සිටි විධායක ජනාධිපති ධූරය අහෝසි කරලීමේ පරමාර්ථය මුඛ්‍ය අරමුණ කොටගත් දේශපාලන බලවේග සමඟ එක්ව පමණක් බව කතානායක කරු ජයසුරිය නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කරමින් කියා සිටිනවා.

පුද්ගලික න්‍යාය පත්‍ර නොමැති, රට ගැන හිතන අලින් ඉන්නා අලුත් පක්ෂයක් බිහිකරන බව එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂ සජිත් පාර්ශ්වයේ ප්‍රධාන කථිකයකු වන නලින් බණ්ඩාර අමාත්‍යවරයා පවසයි.
