"Group of individuals on Facebook are raising their opinion as if they are professors and scholars and it only take a top-up card worth Rs.100", says the General Secretary of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna , Tilvin Silva.
Addressing a meeting held in Matara he further stated that such individuals are creating a wrong opinion in the society and the correct opinion has to be established.
" When the sensible common citizens remain silent , insensible fools are raising their opinion, which becomes a voice in the society. I can remember a statement made by a black leader where he stated that the ultimate tragedy is not the cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people. That is what has happened today", he added.
He further stated that majority of our community is racist and as JVP they will actively engage in establishing the correct opinion as they believe it is their duty as .
