Japan is ready to provide full support to Sri Lanka to face global terrorism, Japan's State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ms. Toshiko Abe said today.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is to send a special envoy to Sri Lanka for talks on several key issues.

The Government yesterday told Parliament that ownership of the East Container Terminal (ECT) of the Colombo Port will be held by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), and that Japan and India would only collaborate to develop the terminal.
