India pledges continuing support to further strengthen defence corporation

India has pledged continuing support to further strengthen defence corporation with Sri Lanka.

This was reiterated by Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria, Chief of Air Staff, Indian Air Force when he held talks with the newly appointed Commander of Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Karagoda Pathirana.

New Sri Lankan Air Chief Sudarshana Pathirana is an alumnus of the prestigious National Defence College, India.

He was the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and is a proud product of Dharmaraja College Kandy. He joined the Air Force on 2 July 1985.

While congratulating him on being appointed as Commander of SLAF. The Indian Chief of Air Staff assured Air Marshal Pathirana of India's continuing support in further cementing the strong defence cooperation between India and Sri Lanka towards greater security in the region
