The riders and drivers have also been given a new set of rules to follow, as per directives given by the police for those making deliveries.
“We have given all the instructions to the PickMe Delivery ‘Balakaya’ so that they strictly follow the rules when making deliveries. PickMe has received permission from the authorities to operate around 1,300 vehicles, in the main cities of Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Kurunegala, Gampaha (which includes Negombo), Kalutara, Kegalle, Matale, Matara and Jaffna,” says PickMe CEO Zulfer Jiffry.
PickMe guarantees their adherence to the highest health and safety standards in handling the delivery of essentials. The delivery Balakaya will ensure that they follow the regulations by wearing fully covered shoes and clean clothes, in addition to the regulation gloves and disposable face masks.
