The installation of three high technology scanners for the security of Anuradhapura Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya and Ruwan Weli Seya has commenced.
One scanner has been installed at the entrance to the Udamaluwa of Sri Maha Bodhiya at te Archeology Junction and the other at the gate towards the Lion post where the flower shops are located.
The other scanner will be installed at the main entrance gate of Ruwan Weli Seya. The installation of the scanner at the archeology junction has already commenced.
Everything would be checked
By installing these scanners, everyone visiting Anuradhapura Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya and Ruwan Weli Seya and their belongings would be subjected to stringent security checks.
50 scanners brought after Easter Sunday attacks
After the Easter Sunday terror attacks unleashed by Saharan’s gang, 50 high tech scanners were imported from China and one of them is already installed at the Dalada Maligawa entrance in Kandy.
