Sri Lankan Chemicals firm spreads wings in South Asian and African regions.

The S&D Chemicals (Raththanapitiya) is on a path of reform as the company transition its operations from Sri Lanka mainly to several countries in South Asian and African regions.

The efforts to reduce carbon foot print and energy consumption along with the adoption 3R concept of Reduce ,Reuse and Recycle while introducing production process with proper risk assessment, Dayanath De Silva ,Chairman- S&D Chemicals( Pvt) Ltd disclosed.

The company will use these opportunities and strive to improve internal business systems and processes, and to modernise our services for clients through ongoing enabling technology program with analytical laboratories using world’s most sophisticated equipments, he said.

“We are known for the quality decisions that we make which protect the environment via go green initiative. These continue to be our focus as we overlay the reforms and the opportunities these reforms present” he added.

Retaining knowledge, science and technology capability is a key priority for the S&D Chemicals. Our corporate plan outlines the strategies in place to navigate this challenge, with the support of the skilled workforce and manage the risks accordingly.

In the year ahead, S&D Chemicals will remain focused on continuous improvement in our operational efficiency by implementing priority recommendations from the Independent review of assessment performance.

Monitoring performance and efficiency will be a key in delivering long-term improvements to company operations.

“S&D Chemical’s financial sustainability must also be assured and this will require us to work closely with our clients and stakeholders as we consider the most appropriate mechanisms to reflect the true cost of providing our chemical production functions” , he said.

The strategic priorities in this plan focus efforts on further strengthening company operations, priority recruitment of core capability, and implementing the foundational information and communication technologies (ICT) and business process improvements that enable improved performance of S&D Chemicals.
