The French Spring Festival, one of the biggest festivals in Sri Lanka, is coming back with a brand new programme . It will be held during the spring period from June 14 to July 14 in Colombo.
Organised jointly by the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, the Alliance Française de Kotte, and the support of our partners, the French Spring Festival will honor French culture excellence and modernity during events and shows both in Colombo and Kandy.
This year, it’s the famous pianist Shani Diluka who will celebrate music. As a French classical pianist from Sri-Lankan parents, Shani Diluka establishes bridges between her origins and her European life. She will present “Cosmos” at Bishop’s College, in Colombo, with Indian musicians Sahana Benerjee at sitar and Prabhu Edouard at tablas.
The multidisciplinary event open to all, will recognise other disciplines such as visual arts – cinema and urban art, literature and fashion.
