The Ambassador of China Cheng Xueyuan this week called on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Temple Trees.
Both sides discussed about how to enhance the China-Sri Lanka cooperation in economics, tourism, culture, and counter-terrorism fields. On the occasion, Ambassador Cheng briefed Wickremasinghe on the Conference of Asian Civilizations Dialogue, highly praised the meetings between the leaders of the two states with very fruitful outcomes, and applauded this visit as a good reflection of mutual trust and friendship between the two peoples. The Prime Minister showed his appreciation, briefed the Chinese Ambassador on the current situation in Sri Lanka, and reiterated his commitment of continuous support to the joint projects between the two countries.
