Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the Presidential candidate of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), is to launch his campaign in Anuradhapura on 9 October.
His election manifesto will then be presented at the BMICH on 15 October.
All these events will be held under the patronage of Mahinda Rajapaksa and Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
More than 100 election rallies are planned island-wide over the course of a month, a leading figure of SLPP told Sri Lanka Mirror.
He also said that many more public seminars and scholarly meetings are also planned in addition to the rallies.
