When commercial, and security printing company, Digiscan Secure Print Solutions Pvt Ltd participated at the Paper world 2019 Exhibition organized by Messe Frankfurt, in Germany for the first time, the company didn’t anticipate that they would receive an influx of orders from different countries.

At least five out of fifty foreign buyers who visited the Digiscan stall at the exhibition have expressed willingness to do business with the Sri Lankan company as they have satisfied with the printing quality and services, Digiscan Managing Director Roshan Fernando revealed.

Negotiations are now underway to secure the orders of those European buyers while convincing them to establish business contacts with Digiscan Secure Print Solutions, he said.

“This was my first time at the Paper world 2019 in Frankfurt along with five of my company representatives and we were very pleasantly surprised”.’The entire Procurement area was interesting and exclusive, and something that isn’t to be found at any other fair”, he claimed.

Five Sri Lankan companies participated at the Paper world 2019 Exhibition, which was held from January 26 to 29 in Frankfurt Germany.

Madhawee Printers, PrintXcel, Richard Trading, Srinko Enterprises and Digiscan Secure Print Solutions were the Sri Lankan companies that exhibited their products at the event.

These exhibits included paper covering, novel writing instruments, school supplies, water and duster colours and other office supplies.

Most of the local companies including Madhawee Printers, PrintXcel, Richard Trading had ten to twenty year experience in attending the Paper World, but Digiscan had this experience with this exclusive business programme for the first time, he added.

With its comprehensive complementary programme, Paper world was also a valuable source of desires and ideas: important trends, such as the presentation of themed and product worlds, commercial purchasing, multi-channel strategies and sustainability, were taken up in business programmes, special presentations and forums, Mr Fernnado disclosed.

A large number of persons attended Procurement Business Programme, which was aimed at buyers of commercial office materials from private companies and public authorities, he pointed out.
