The Fish Traders Union says that the Peliyagoda fish market is to be closed for three days from tomorrow (22).
The decision is taken to curb the spread of Covid-19 within the market premises, the union says.
It was reported that a fish vendor from Piliyandala, who was identified as a Covid-19 patient yesterday, had visited the Peliyagoda fish market.
The union said owners and employees of 154 stalls in the Peliyagoda fish market will be subject to PCR testing tomorrow.
