Sri Lanka has requested China and some others to offer certain loans, which has not yet been finalised, Central Bank Governor Nivard Cabraal said on Friday.
“In the policy package that the Central Bank announced, we mentioned on shifting from commercial loans to that of Government-to-Government (G2G) as well as swap arrangements. In that context of policy initiative, Sri Lanka have that from China as well,” he added.
However, the Governor said that they have not been able to finalise on it, whilst reiterating that the request has been made.
