Newly appointed Pakistani High Commissioner (Retd.), General Umar Farooq Burki assured that justice would be delivered soon regarding the murder of Sri Lankan national Priyantha Kumara in Sialkot, Pakistan.
Addressing a function to mark the condolence reference on him at the premises of the High Commission, he said the entire trial process is conducted on a daily basis and monitored by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan himself.
The Sri Lankan national who had been working as a manager at Rajco Industries in Sialkot, was tortured to death and his body set on fire by a mob of workers over allegations of "blasphemy" in December last year. (Daily Mirror)
