Chinese Defence Minister Wei Fenghe called on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Wednesday (28) for official talks.
The Chinese Defense Minister was greeted by the Secretary to the President P.B. Jayasundera and Foreign Secretary Admiral (Retd.) Prof. Jayanath Colombage.
General Wei Fenghe said that the relations between the two countries are expected to strengthen further with this visit, and mentioned that the discussions with the President proved to be fruitful.
Ambassador of China to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong, Deputy Chief of Staff and Director General of International Affairs of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Chinese People's Army Lieutenant General Shao Yuanming, Major General C. Guowei and Secretary to the President P.B. Jayasundera was present at this bilateral discussion.
