Considering the current pandemic situation in the country, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka Chairman Sanjaya Mohottala has requested all factory administrations to ensure maximum safety of the staff in compliance with health guidelines during factory operations.
He stated that safety of the workers and the future of the production and exports should be taken into deep consideration at this critical juncture.
The BOI Chairman said that most of the factories deserved commendation as they were functioning extremely well, while adhering to strict health guidelines despite seeing some increase in positive cases in factories with the onset of the third wave.
Mohottala said he hoped that everyone would carry out their responsibility to effectively face this challenge by adhering to health guidelines not only at work but also while travelling and at home.
