There is a risk of COVID-19 spreading after several branches of a state bank have remained open despite the detection of COVID-19 cases from their premises.
Internal sources say that COVID-19 cases have been detected from several branches including from its head office.
Meanwhile, the Gampaha District manager of this bank and his driver had tested positive today (25) and it is reported that this manager had traveled to branches throughout the district in the last few days.
Since both of them are known for not being too keen on wearing facemasks, workers of the branches where he had visited are currently said to be quite alarmed.
