HER " HAPPY PLACE "

When she needed time to think
Back and forth she would rock
Deep in the woods she would swing
Like the hands on a clock

The trees knew all her fears
They listened to her thoughts
Everytime she was in tears
The trees would help them stop
Nature was her safe place
Away from abuse she suffered
She would stay out all day
Hoping never to be discovered
She couldn't run away
She needed to escape
So everyday she swang
And while she did she prayed
Please God make him stop
I can't take it any longer
I wish the trees could talk
It's not in me to be stronger
But the trees they had no voice
The didn't reveal her problems
She was never given a choice
No one came to help her solve them
There was no one to rescue her
She's all grown up now you see
The woods became her happy place
Her favorite place to be
