The book titled ‘Mangala Samaraweera’ based on his three decade political career was released at a ceremony at the Ruhunu University’s Rabindranath Tagore Auditorium in Matara yesterday afternoon.
This book has been inscribed by renowned writer Nihal Jagathchandra.The key-note oration at this function was delivered by renowned political analyst and journalist Victor Ivan on the topic ‘30 year political history in Sri Lanka’. Other notable speakers included Minister and UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa and TNA leader R.Sampanthan. Acting Minister Buddhika Pathirana, MP M.A.Sumanthiran, prominent politicians, intellectuals, artistes and the public attended the book launch.
