ECONOMYNEXT – Dialog Axiata of Sri Lanka and Axiata Digital Labs, a technology unit of Malaysia-based group said it won a global award for digital transformation given by industry association, beating Asian and European contenders.
They shared the award with Vodafone UK and Infosys in the customer experience category, beating shortlisted firms including China Unicom and a Orange unit, Dialog said.
Digital Transformation World is an industry association with over 850 members in 180 territories which held its 2020 TM Forum virtually.
“Digitally transforming our customer service channels has empowered our customers to choose how and when they interact with Dialog giving them total control and flexibility,” Group Chief Customer Officer of Dialog Axiata PLC, Sandra De Zoysa said.
The Customer Experience and Trust Award shortlisted companies that are creating and managing complex digital services to deliver greater customer experiences, build trust and loyalty, and ensure business growth, Dialog said.
“The transformational business outcomes demonstrated by Dialog through its end to end Process Digitisation bears testimony to the power of digitisation in delivering enhanced customer experience alongside enhanced productivity,” Thushera Kawdawatte, CEO of Axiata Digital Labs said.
Dialog has 15 million mobile customers in Sri Lanka with one million connected to fixed and television services. Axiata Digital Labs has operations in a number of countries where Axiata operates. (Colombo/Oct14/2020)
